The Lover’s House was created by Isla Architects in 2020. The project is located in Majorca, Spain. It overlooks the Tramuntana Mountains in Spain, with a pink terracotta appearance that permeates the dusty ground.
It is surrounded by vineyards, with plenty of sunshine and a comfortable climate. ISLA Architects draws on the rich architectural heritage of Spain and the sunny and relaxed lifestyle of Mallorca to create this residence where sensibility and warmth coexist.
Go through the pine forest and enter the house from the quiet path. What you see is the warm orange infrared wall. After arriving at the porch, facing the front is a vertical wooden door, which warmly invites people to enter the room.
The whole living room is supported by a wooden frame, and the white spherical chandelier on the roof is full of exquisite and fashionable sense. The log sloping roof ceiling is matched with the transparent floor-to-ceiling glass doors, the room and nature blend with each other, as if you are in the forest.
The kitchen is separate from the living space, but connected by an open fireplace. From the kitchen’s own terrace, you can enjoy beautiful views of the famous local mountains. The bedrooms all have open terraces, through the rendering of the sunlight outside the house, making the space romantic and warm.
The shower room features the familiar red concrete, which offsets the tones of white, copper and natural wood. Without too much decoration, the color is simple and the space is bright, which makes people feel clean, fresh, comfortable and natural. The walls of the aisles are decorated with the same finishes as the entrances, which improves the integrity of the house. The pink hue of the façade connects the inside and the outside. The swimming pool is separated from the house and has its own independent space, which emerges on the ground as another volume and is surrounded by beautiful surrounding landscapes.
The layout perfectly balances the private space and entertainment space. Through flowing interiors and large open areas, the residence extends to the garden, adjoining terrace and swimming pool, just like an extension of the natural landscape. As Marta Colon said, "Design and life are in harmony, and colors are compatible with nature."
