Blue Bottle Coffee Jakc Cafe is a minimal space located in Shanghai, China, designed by renowned Japanese firm Keiji Ashizawa Architects.
The Keiji Ashizawa was also in charge of the interior and facade design. The site is located on the first and second floors of a building connected to the Kerry Center, which is located in a downtown area that has flourished around the 1,000-year-old Jing’an Temple.
At first glance, the studio created a rustic concrete façade that was simple yet neat, and placed the Blue Bottle Coffee icon there. As an interior space, based on the idea of creating another building within the building, the architects boldly used roof tiles, which were originally used as exterior materials, as interior elements.
In this cafe, furniture is supplied by Karimoku Furniture, which works closely with the three Blue Bottle coffee shops in Japan.
