Beauty Salon Latu

A new premium beauty salon LATU opened in Kazan (Russia, Tatarstan). The founders of the salon, Aliya and Artur Chulakov, took a symbolic approach to the name of the salon. LATU means precious stone in Somali. Also, the names of the founders were woven into this word: LA is Aliya, TU is Arthur.

In the interior they decided to adhere to the basic concept - premium quality. Therefore, all elements are selected very carefully - they reflect the high level of service in the salon. The design and interior of LATU was developed by Kazan architect Ksenia Evstafieva @zazzak. Her portfolio includes design projects of houses and apartments, as well as commercial spaces - the Artel bistro, the Izin-Dom beauty salon, the Branch restaurant, the frwl showroom, the Art de Vivre carpet salon (together with Angelina Borodkina within the framework of the Artists Collaboration bureau).

The main idea of the project was to create the most thoughtful and comfortable (in a small area of 63 sq.m) beauty place, where a lot of attention was paid to the details that guests come into contact with. The interior style is designed in a minimalist color scheme with the addition of bright accents. The project used natural stone, elm root veneer panels and furniture from European brands (Tom Dixon, Antonio Lupi, Cea Design, Saba Italia, Bang Olufsen, Maletti, Becara, etc.).

White armchairs, chests of drawers and staircase elements perfectly complement the brown walls made of natural sandstone, brought especially for the project from India. And burgundy details add individuality to the interior - soft carpet with white splashes, decorative elements and glossy wall panels.

Particular attention should be paid to the lamps, armchairs and spiral staircase, designed according to the author's order. Tom Dixon lamps look like futuristic sculptures made of molten glass, echoed by Antonio Lupi glass sinks. The main element of the interior of the manicure area on the second floor were armchairs from Saba Italia, decorated with hand-embroidered images of girls with burgundy manicures (design by Antonia Marras). The emphasis on textures and their combinations conveys the same special approach to each visitor, who should feel like a special and welcome guest here in the Latu salon.
