An apartment in Warszawa, Poland, designed by local design Studio La Folie Studio. The designer designed the apartment into an elegant, leisurely and beautiful, practical apartment. Because the owner is a classicism lover, the interior design needs to be meticulous, and every piece of furniture needs to be carefully designed. The designer also cleverly conceived the apartment and combined it with the classical basic principles to create a very distinctive apartment.
This focus on craftsmanship and bespoke detailing is where the hallmarks of classicism really shine from the white wainscotting panelled walls, frescoes on the doors and skirting boards to the hand-made table topped with marble. Well-appointed cabinetry and joinery are everywhere you look, informing the clean and classical living areas they adeptly expose the beautiful objects and hide those less beautiful objects of everyday use.
All handmade, most of the lamps are from Bert Frank. Simple in their complexity, their art deco and mid-century sensibilities form a cohesion that follows through the entire space. Luxe hotel-style embellishments feel at home here from the large continental style bed adorned with a gilded, velvet bedhead and a palatial marble bathtub.
