YUN, a Korean eyewear brand that started in Berlin, is a balanced brand that combines mechanical perfection with an analog aesthetic, embracing different feelings of the East and the West. Labotory wanted to achieve this unique spatial experience, which conflicts and co-exists between the minimalist feeling and values of Oriental Korea.
The studio put the nuances of "Dansaekhwa "and" white porcelain "into the space to express the minimalism of YUN's texture. It allows people to experience the interaction and coexistence of different things in different eyes. The white light penetrates the texture of the concrete and reflects light into the space. It is as repetitive and simple as the expression technique of dan-colored flowers infiltrating into Korean paper and immersing itself in countless colors. The form of the ceiling is convex and concave, which makes people feel the feeling of being in various Spaces.
By raising the floor, customers look at the cloud-like white ceiling and feel as if they are in the hanok courtyard and in touch with the sky. Columns are the flow axis of the space, supporting the ceiling and distinguishing large interior functions, such as the cafe and exhibition hall.
Even though there are specialized elements for each function, there is balance between each element. The YUN brand has created a space for faithful communication with minimal emotion and balance. In YUN SEOUL, all elements have their own unique characteristics and proper balance to complete the space experience filled with warmth.
