Spanish Mission Revival is a 5,000-square-foot home in Palm Springs, California, at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Refurbished by siblings David and Suzie Lucas of Lucas Interior. In addition to reorganizing the layout to connect indoor and outdoor Spaces in a tighter way, they also opened up the walls, added floor-to-ceiling pivot doors and incorporated timber beams to give the original feel of a 1929 home. Bold colours and playful vivacity complement the original manor style of the house, which has been redesigned for one purpose, entertainment.
One of the house's most coveted Spaces is this outdoor living room. The main living room features an oversize circular sofa upholstered in bright ochre velvet, balanced by two iron-blue side tables and cobalt 'Pelican' chairs. Black and white patterned tiles, as well as checkerboard cement tiles, create a bold and casual kitchen style. The master bedroom has a softer tone than the rest of the house and a richer texture.
