Nicolas Schuybroek wanted to create a larger open garden at the entrance of the house as much as possible. The building itself is made of rectangular grey bricks, a material that gives the building a certain aesthetic and solitariness, while at the same time blending in with the local natural environment, creating a timeless beauty. Inside, unique materials such as limestone, aged sandblasted oak and specially treated metal add warmth to the interior. Without extra deliberate decoration, the owners respect the local natural environment and are more loyal to their way of life.
Inside, Nicolas Schuybroek chose a very open design, where the core living space is connected to all the rooms and even the young family can easily walk through the space. They sought to optimize the use of furniture in their homes to maximize circulation and chose pieces that could only be enhanced by touch and time gloss, such as the Pierre Jeanneret chair, the Rick Owens console (vase by Nicolas Schuybroek), As well as custom furniture to provide customers with a platform to live, play and entertain. For designers, the most satisfying part of the home is a large table in the kitchen that allows them to come together to eat, do homework and sit and read.
