Nia school, a 600-square-metre learning space in Mexico, is designed to unleash the creative potential of children aged 2 to 8. The school was designed by local designer Sulkin Askenazi.
This area allows children to move freely between different flexible Spaces. There are activity Spaces to exercise the body and mind, as well as two study rooms to integrate nature into the interior space. The lighting system is designed to create a comfortable and natural environment. The reception area is designed with ergonomic furniture for the children, including wooden flower buds, nature-like chairs, and bookshelves of varying heights, with books on the shelves making the space a place to study at any time.
The classroom has a bookshelf of study materials made up of geometric wooden modules and a reading space with hexagonal carpet, forming a pleasant and warm learning environment. The classroom has soft tactile materials such as cork and oak. Learning in this area is achieved through dynamic play, using different elements for children to explore, climb, jump and build, developing different skills.
