The clients of this design project by Tatyana Alenina Design Bureau are an intellectual couple with diverse hobbies. They love traveling, are open to new experiences, have a deep appreciation for contemporary art and bespoke design, and are profoundly in love with both their home and each other.
Moving through the kitchen-dining area, one cannot overlook Alexey Gan’s two-meter-long abstract painting, exuding depth, tranquility, and balance—an essential sensation after a bustling week in Moscow. “This artwork inspired us to create a metal console with a fluid texture in the same color scheme,” notes Tatiana.
At the heart of the home is a sculptural dining table with fluid, lava-like contours, complemented by textured metal wall sconces on the terrace.
In the living room, where logs crackle in the fireplace during colder months, the eye is captivated by Kirill Chelushkin’s strikingly graphic painting depicting a futuristic spacecraft—it invites contemplation, leading the mind to explore its lines and forms while pondering the future.
The primary theme of the project revolves around the use of natural wood textures combined with a neutral black-and-white palette, reflected in every element—from furniture and small details to textiles and accessories. This approach allows contemporary art to take center stage, guiding the spatial narrative from one artwork to the next.
Finishing Materials & Custom Design The interior finishes exclusively feature natural materials: marble, engineered wood flooring, thermally treated decking on the terrace, and porcelain stoneware in the bathrooms.
“In every room, we introduced bespoke pieces designed in collaboration with product designer Sergey Kartashov,” says Tatiana. Examples include a large floor mirror and a vacuum-dried oak bench in the entryway.Notable Design Pieces Handcrafted elements are complemented by iconic design pieces.
Here, bold statements are absent—rather, the space resembles a ‘black-and-white film’ serving as a pureuncluttered canvas for serene countryside living, filled with precious moments shared with loved ones.
