The home is located in Arabian Ranches, an upscale community featuring luxury and family-friendly contemporary villas. The interior designer drew on European references and strove to create a transitional and timeless space.

The interior designer kept the palette extremely minimal and wanted lots of wood touches to bring some warmth, mixed with lighter and darker accents, clean beiges and whites. The overall flooring is made of large, soft matte greige tiles.

The interior designer also wanted to draw in external elements, so garden greenery played a big role. The design team sourced a spectacular 70+ year old olive tree from Morocco, which has been placed at the focal point of the large living room window.

Given the minimal nature of this home, designer went heavy on fabrics, weaving in linens, tweeds and light cotton. There is texture even on the kitchen hood and the TV unit. One large bathroom was broken into two smaller bathrooms, creating two separate ensuites in two guest bedrooms.

The designer's goal was to create a space that was both lovely and livable. The end result is white walls that contrast with a pure walnut kitchen, antique brass accents and black-framed Windows, including a highly desirable arched feature window, giving a sense of calm and harmony.
