Ogimachi House is a pure retreat designed by Tomoaki Uno for the mother of a devoted client. Apart from the entrance and back doors, there are no Windows on the walls. The interior is made up of 32 fixed wooden frames, while the roof is connected by five large Windows that can be opened. The exterior walls are mainly finished with cedar panels spaced 30mm apart, and the interior is filled with insulation material made from cypress.
Tomoaki Uno Architects works on a range of projects, from residential architecture to product design, working closely with a carefully selected group of artisans to create all the architecture by hand.
