Chandler McLellan was born in 1993 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He a trained carpenter and cabinet maker with a degree in Archeology. He have been working as a full-time artist since 2018. Chandler McLellan currently live in Wyoming, where the open landscape and relative isolation fuel the escapism he seek out in he artistic practices.

Chandler McLellan inspired by the past and the renditions of the future. Chandler McLellan hope to create objects that inspire stories, interpretation, and imagination, regardless of the passage of time. Chandler Mclellan has a background in archaeology – something that is apparent in his sculptures, which take an architectural, archaeological, and sometimes industrial shape. The aim of Chandler McLellan art consists of nourishing a controlled creativity with a true sense of inventiveness; practicality with imagination.

He is driven by a dissatisfaction of the current state of the man made world and has become obsessed with creating objects that values creation, quality and investment, as opposed to consumption, quantity and impulse. Chandler McLellan interested in the way things work, how they move, how they’re made, and how they help function our society. It’s this desire to manipulate environment and tell stories that makes Chandler McLellan want to create.

His works appear in many private collections and are regularly published in Vanity Fair, Elle Décoration, Grazia, New York Post, Hype Beast, RUM, Ark Journal ... He has also done sculptural projects for HBO, Amazon Prime Video and ABC studios.
