© 粤ICP备19077098号Set in a stunning Haussmann apartment in the heart of Paris, adorned with elegant moldings and classic parquet floors, this ephemeral space celebrates sustainable design in style. It brings together aesthetics, wellness, and non-toxic materials through a curated selection of standout pieces from innovative designers, skilled artisans, and visionary artists.
“Cosmos and Matter” is the avant-garde project of the Sustainable Design Association founded in 2021, which aims to promote virtuous practices in the world of design.“We believe that the nature of the choices we make influences our interiority daily and, more broadly, the state of the world,” says Marie-Cassandre Bultheel, the co-founder of Cosmos and Matter. “We want to introduce a new art de vivre that takes care of the future while being deeply imbued with ancestral knowledge and wisdom.”
The first iteration of this new concept can be discovered in the heart of Paris – from November 7, 2024 to February 16, 2025. It proposes to take another look at the different facets of our interiors o “This place is more than a showroom or a gallery,” says Marie-Cassandre Bultheel. “It is a space where a new aesthetic of luxury is expressed through reconnection, sustainability and harmony.”
The beautiful Haussman apartment spans 2,690 square feet / 250 square meters. How can we inhabit our interiors differently? This was the starting point to imagine the apartment with 10 scenes showcased in the different rooms that create a sensory journey. Each area highlights a facet of the art of a more eco-friendly living, where the alchemy between traditions and modernity invites aesthetes, designers and art lovers to question themselves. In the apartment are a Botanic Bar, a Table of the Living, a Moon Lounge, a Sun Lounge and a “cosmic soundscape”room.
A meaningful curation of design and art pieces“By directing the curation towards designers, artisans and artists who honor natural cycles and universal laws, I wanted to celebrate a luxury that respects the Earth as much as the human soul,” says Marie-Cassandre. “Here, we touch the cosmos with matter.”
The materials chosen for the pieces on display reflect the Cosmos and Matter philosophy: they are natural, healthy (not derived from petrochemicals) such as reclaimed wood, natural textiles, pigments from the earth, living materials such as vegetable leathers from the dehydration of fruits and vegetables – all selected for their low environmental impact.
