Natural clay as a raw material is a gift from the earth, and clay sculpture is a way to commemorate this gift. My art works have always been inspired by the natural world of forests, plants, rocks, seas and animals. Attracted by the infinite shapes, colors and textures they provide and their inner influence on our souls, but where are people and how we can help or hinder the natural order of things, I continue to think about this topic.

Denise was born in Erie, Pennsylvania. Denise has been exhibiting her sculptures since 1978, and she has been a lecturer at the Columbus Culture and Arts Center for many years.

Denise's organic sculptures are narrative and symbolic, and celebrating the power and charm of the ocean is a continuous theme in her works. When the energy collides explosively, it evolves into an elegant dance. Denise's sculptures perfectly capture the details of the beating of the ocean.

Denise's work also conveys respect for the beliefs of Native Americans, all natural things have a spirit worthy of honor and respect! As current events have given meaning to words such as biodiversity and genetic engineering, her sculptures have given nature and science an inherent artistic spirit with rich shapes and textures!
