Block722 architects+ is an Athens based architectural practice, founded in 2009 by Sotiris Tsergas and Katja Margaritoglou. Block722 was founded in the heart of Athens, on Patission 57, one of the most densely populated areas of the capital. The area is characterized by intense cultural and national variety, enhancing the practice’s relation to the city’s reality and constant adaptation to new and interesting design elements. The office’s location, urban block 722, becomes more than a city planning number – it evolves into an element of identity.
The design of each project stems from a thorough conceptual investigation. Simple geometric volumes, clean lines, top quality materials and small details work together to create a unified space that carries a powerful yet humble sensation.
The use of clean lines and the creation of quality architecture space are design rules that define each project, regardless of its scale. An important factor of the design and construction phase is the selection of excellent quality materials, thus enhancing a unique result. The desired architectural result is achieved by integrating the interior design into the conceptual phase and by considering the project as a whole.
