Alireza Razavi, born in Iran in 1970, is a distinguished interior designer who founded his own Studio, Studio Razavi, in Paris and New York in 2008. At an early age, he left home to study architecture in Paris, Milan and Columbia University in New York. Prior to founding his studio, he worked for Peter Eisenman, Agrest & Gandelsonas, Shigeru Ban (Tokyo), Francois de Menil and FTL Happold.
Studio Razavi specializes in architecture, residential and hotel design, from interior finishes to master planning. Ongoing projects are located in North and South America and Europe. As a company with three offices (Paris, New York and London), their work spans North and South America and Europe.
Studio Razav's work is based on a fundamental principle: all materials that reach the senses are the foundation of the spatial experience. They believe that a successful design must be a combination of architectural sensitivity and design rigor. Therefore, the design method is a medium between the architectural culture and the spatial pedigree of each person's experience, a desire to materialize emotional traits, a spiritual regionalism.
The studio's designs are often style-free, and they are open to any context. As the saying goes: "Styles come and go. Good design is a language, not a style." -- Massimo Vignelli, Italian designer
