Balzar Arquitectosis an architecture and interior design studio based in Valencia, Spain, founded in 2018 by José María together with his son Txema García and daughter-in-law Laura Moreno. Their work often creates simple, authentic, and sincere material structures that do not rely on excessive ornamentation, allowing light to become the most important expression within the space. Invited by YINJISPACE, the two founders gave their first public lecture in China on June 16 (Thursday) at 8:00 p.m., under the theme “Design Strategies.”
In this class, co-founders Txema García and Laura Moreno explored the importance of strategy in design through the theme Design Strategies. They believe that architects are like carpenters, needing certain tools to achieve their goals. By presenting ten projects in which design strategies were applied to solve different problems, they shared practical insights drawn from personal experience. At the same time, they emphasized their conviction that architects hold a fundamental responsibility for what they build, as it shapes the world in which people live.
