Aketuri Architektai were faced with a task to design an apartment for a youthful, urbane and travel minded family. It had to be a place for recreation, comfort and composure. Willingness to make interior spaces calm, pure and free of unnecessary details was one of the ruling intents.
Latter guides provided vision for spatial arrangement and desired materials. Absence of visual separation between living room and the terrace enhanced continuity and interaction while the other side of the flat with bedrooms was kept more isolated and focused. Extra care was put into materials to achieve the desired ambience.
Prevailing delicate earthy tones came from combination of natural and lasting materials. Rough concrete ceiling, wood clad walls and terrazzo flooring all helped to bring balance and refinement to a cosy urban interior.
