The Zen Home in Colaba, Mumbai, is a testament to the fusion of serenity, simplicity, and sustainability in interior design. This exquisite sea-facing space, located in the art deco building 'Bakhtavar,' was meticulously crafted to provide a tranquil haven for an introvert couple.
The design revolves around connecting with nature and enhancing the awe-inspiring sea view. The studio’s primary objective was to create a contemporary, minimalistic canvas with the flexibility to adapt to the family's evolving needs while ensuring ample storage and maintaining a timeless aesthetic.
The client, a discerning Liquor business Tycoon, wanted to gift this home to his son and daughter-in-law. The couple embraced a minimalist lifestyle and sought a space that could cater to various purposes and grow with them. The key requirements included a multipurpose living room, a study room with an attached toilet that could transform into a guest or child's bedroom, a pantry, and a master bedroom with a dresser and attached toilets.
