The bridge of “Nihonbashi” was completed in 1603. Since its completion in the Edo era, this place was considered the starting point of transportation in Japan, and the center of various city functions such as finance, culture, logistics and information.
E material itself has shifted from wood to stone, and now with an artificial highway structure above, Nihonbashi the bridge, has changed its looks though still stands as a symbol of integration of the ever changing surrounding environments in this area.
Rough this store Case Real aim to portray the centrality and a gradation of the history of Nihonbashi and the area. By situating each volume surround the center point of the store, their were able to design a simple but conceptual atmosphere. Case Real goal was to overlap the characteristics of this city and the world of Aesop, by the functions and products given to each volume.
