Santarem House sits on the edge of a plot of land overlooking the countryside in Portugal, designed by local architecture and interior design studio DP Arquitectos. It consists of a service area on the north side, a social area in the centre and a bedroom area at the other end, all facing a spacious terrace with a swimming pool.
The volumes and facades are organized as visual references along the axis of the main road. Contrary to the unpopular strategy of the other plots, the existing trees are preserved and have valuable shade in the high temperatures of Rimatjo. Comfortable and simple life is what people yearn for, in the case of not damaging the design will, comfortable and simple life is needed.
