The home in Highgate, London, is furnished and decorated by British interior studio House of Grey. A three-story townhouse, the home's design features custom wood furniture, carbon-absorbing bathroom finishes and mattresses made from natural biodegradable latex.
According to House of Grey, the interior is dominated by natural tones and soft textures, following the "design principle of circulation for good health". This means it will reduce waste and reduce pollution to achieve a circular economy system. "Healthism," meanwhile, refers to a medical approach that focuses on promoting health rather than simply fighting disease.
In keeping with the clay plastered walls designed by Clayworks that feature at WC, every material and resource used by the studio has been studied for the impact of these material accessories on human and ecological health during production, use and disposal. Studio founder Louisa Grey says that instead of just looking for design solutions, their work is now focused on eliminating problems altogether.
