Louise Liljencrantz and her team have taken the art of modern decline to new heights. Her home is neither gorgeous nor simple, and exudes a luxurious spirit, undoubtedly thanks to her ability to discover and plan unique and beautiful artworks, objects and materials.
This Swedish residence on an island a few kilometers away from Stockholm showcases beauty in various forms. Liljencrantz design company is responsible for overseeing the decoration and interior design of this 1950s villa. They created a space that not only feels far from the mid-century origin, but also exudes a sense of timelessness. Each piece is selected according to its space and environment. The characteristic of the house is to give people a gallery-like feeling, and the natural environment is through the large glass door and balcony space.
A family of five lives on the top floor, with three daughters living in it, and each daughter has its own living room and bathroom. The home on the main floor has a communal meeting point, a large kitchen, dining room and living area, as well as doors leading to a large balcony. The first floor is a combination of business and entertainment, with a spa, yoga room, laundry room and two tidy offices. Although this home has achieved many design goals, it does not appear to be messy, and there are no clumsy design elements.
