With its diverse topography and long history, Jutland is in many ways the most continental part of Denmark. Holing is the oldest settlement in Denmark and has a mature cultural landscape. As a new center for cultural export, the Grain House can help promote the rich food and agricultural culture of the region.

The new inspiration center, located in an existing farm with a bakery next to it, will provide a variety of activities based learning facilities for visitors, local residents, and employees, and will begin to understand the area around the importance of grains to Jutland and human civilization. The building is arranged according to a simple and flexible plan to accommodate a wide variety of possible future activities and functions.

The form of the building echoes the region's rich landscape, folk culture and agricultural heritage, with two brick light Wells at its centre, a design that reinterprets the roasters' kilns.

The interior opens to the vast wheat fields to the west, framing the views and leading to the terraces. The public space is centred around a large bread oven, while teaching and exhibition Spaces are provided with natural lighting and progressively increased skylights.
