Light and Shadow
Space is not distance it is immensity.”-Claudio Silvestrin
The long and quiet entrance shields the noise and fickleness of the city in a relatively "restrained" atmosphere. Separating yet appealing, ribbon windows lead the way to the amazing interior space. Introduce light to the space in appropriate openings. Daylight together with artificial light source generate glimmer of light on the ground all the way. Overhead lamp bars break the dark with a bright gap, lighting the way ahead. Under the spotlight, a green plant extends out from the bottle vase, infusing the vitality of nature into the static space and reaching directly to hearts through the darkness.
The guiding rule of tea house design is: external form reflects internal concept, and good design can stir the heart of people by external presentation. In turn, we can also touch the essence of life by perceiving color, sound, aroma, taste, touch and dharma through the six senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and proprioception. Tea house is a place to rest body and mind, to get away from the bustle of life. A few oriental leaves can bring you the leisure of "happy hours after reading with a cup of tea boiled with spring water” described in the Record of Tea.
Creation of a scene in an exquisite small space requires weaving design. Stainless steel plate forms transverse table facets with exclusive glass miniascape frames at the vertical axis. The lamp looks like a drop of dew glistening from a dangling needle vertically drawn by writing brush, creating a spatial space on the wall. Similarly, vertical strip windows break the continuity of walls, complementary to the transverse table facets. You can take a peek at sculptures on interior shelves through hidden corners. It is the beauty of design.
Design is to assist clients to achieve their expectation of life. Designers also show their love and desire to life through space cutting, collage and construction. Seek new opportunities in a new land. Create new works of art as a tribute to vast land with delicate efforts.
