A 72 m² Papyrus flagship store in South Korea was designed by local design studio WGNB. It is a design studio led by three young people, who are adept at combining inspiration from daily life with spatial design, and strive to create a new perspective.
The design for Nineone Hannam's flagship Papyrus store, which specialises in eyewear, was created in a unique way by the design studio. Both the store glasses and the building are based on the idea of building an ideal structure for different environments, a story about glasses rather than architecture.
In this sense, WGNB creates an ideal structure for the space by combining functional fixtures and aesthetic objects. A steel structure clad in red stainless steel with a contrasting soft suede finish is used to showcase the glasses.
They then used contrasting blues in other areas, including walls, floors and ceilings, to enhance the red steel structure. Finally, a new set of iconic lighting fixtures designed by Viabizzuno in collaboration with WGNB illuminate the space.
