"New Xi'an"

Over the last few years, Xi'an seems to have become more alive. It is open, free, and full of changes and surprises. constantly refreshing people's impressions of this "ancient city". We who live in the present, and more and more young people, prefer to perceive the significance of historical and cultural inheritance in the new era from a diverse perspective.

In this project, Yu Studio and CR LAND jointly build a living space that integrates the concept of nature and reflects the inner spiritual world. Combining the relationship between urban humanities and site environment，inspired by the concept of endless life aesthetics, advocates the interweaving of natural culture and artistic context, in line with the locality and value orientation, provides an ideological proposal for a new way of life and a new model of urban life in Xi'an.

"The Shape of Nature” : The Tree of Life is scattered in every corner in natural form, the upward growth represents the spirit of the new era of Xi'an people, showing an infinite vitality in search of a new self.

"The core of Spirit” : Meditate and observe inwardly, integrate life and culture, drive the senses with artistic perspective and pure nature, explore the balance between human and nature, and convey the seeking of spiritual quality and higher value pursuit of this future city.

Through the "Withln· WithOut” which means natural shape and spiritual core,  The space reflect the inner connection between nature and city, history and contemporary, art and innovation, and project the central idea of “the endless life” in a progressive way. Let the space collides with life and culture, allowing visitors to wander through it, to seek and enhance the sense of cognition and belonging to the artistic life. So that we can lead our customers to pay attention to the aesthetics of current life.

"Flow"：Free construct, harmonious stretch of rhythm, and conversion of different functional scenes.

The space on the first floor is expanded and reshaped in a new way using Japanese-style acrylic materials, allowing light and shadow to flow naturally and faintly, giving a breathable and flowable state of life and a sense of poetic, so that the space can build a good interactive relationship with the core structure. In terms of functional use, the circulation of traffic flow is pursued, and then the space is subtly divided to provide flexible switching of functional scenes.

The constrution of the seating area continues the fluidity and natural texture of the space, and the selection of streamlined furniture and lamps is in harmony with the shape of the space. The gradient colors of the chandelier bring a soft visual feeling, and also inject a high-quality experience atmosphere into the space.

"The Endless Life"

In design concept, the core structure takes the sense of space experience as the primary construction principle. The interactive experience device interweaves water, fire, light, music and visitors walking in it. Water drops dripping irregularly with the rhythm of the music forms a strong natural imagination. Visitors are both participants and visitors, feeling the sublimation of life from the inside out in the ever-changing flow perspective.

The space construction on the first floor breaks the traditional limitations, presents the sense of future and experience of contemporary aesthetics in the form of “exhibition" through innovative technological trends, and implements  the spiritual thought of "shape of nature" into the space, creating a ritual space full of dramatic tension. The second floor is the carrier of a variety of living functional spaces and aesthetic life culture. It interprets our life imagination of the "Great Tang Dynasty" in the form of contemporary art. From visual experience to inner perception, demonstrating the meaning of “core of spirit” through emotion and imagination.

In the overall planning and design, the openness and display of the space are emphasized. The combined furniture is arranged in a virtual enclosed order through screens to build a semi-private exclusive space, giving it the function of negotiation. As far as the creation of the atmosphere, connects free life, ecological nature and exquisite art seamlessly, and adds coffee, tea and other functional areas to reveal different lifestyles.

The space follows the main tone of warm gray and wood, metal, stone used in mobile furniture to create an organic stability. The huge chandelier of the Axolight outlines a stunning and uniqueness scenery with a simple but powerful form, depicting our imagination of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. The presentation of trees not only adds to the poetic flavor of nature, but also concretizes the theme, coexisting with the spirit of space.

The tea area has a proper balance with the current lifestyle, it can also be used to hold art salon activities in the future. The spatial attributes of different functions can meet the users' pursuit of artistic life. And the furniture use natural wood, leather and metal to provide a strong contrast with each other. The natural texture highlights the purity of the space, and the tactile experience of leather and metal reflects the quality of luxurious details.

Adapting to current food trend, the water bar is designed with the theme of coffee culture. The way of brewing coffee is infused with emotions, providing visitors with private and exclusive services experience. Not only can taste the unique flavor of coffee more intuitively, but also become a place for interaction and communication with multiple possibilities.

The reading area with enclosed sofa shows a valuable and exclusive sense of dignity by material and form, perfectly suit the style of space. Gradient-color wooden coffee table conveys yearning for natural and comfortable life with color and texture, and the furnishings of metal ornaments add exquisite details to the space.
