Residence Z Ø, in Madrid, aims to create a modern home with living areas facing the garden, which becomes the green centre of the residence, designed by local firm BETA Ø Associates.
After demolition, the original concrete structure was exposed and a magical space filled with natural light emerged. The coolness of the garden thus became the driving force behind the project. The studio aimed to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces as much as possible, using large windows to emphasise the relationship with the landscape.
The interiors of the home are grand in scale, incorporating polished metal elements, handcrafted textures and minimalist furniture design in wood and stone. This helps to create an atmosphere of sophistication, giving a warm sculptural feel to the space that is not only uniquely functional, but also uniquely aesthetically pleasing.
