With the help of London-based architect Charles, Eiesha and her husband transformed a historic Victorian property into a comfortable family home. They wanted every room of the house to have a livable atmosphere. So after combining life experiences, this Notting Hill home combines color, shape and the relationship between people and space to present a warm, textured and comfortable atmosphere.
The walls are polished to a powdery texture, the textures among them softly catch the light, the textiles highlight the inviting layers, the marble surfaces are polished flat and unpolished, and the touch of stone is elevated to the forefront. After moving in, the interaction with people makes the living atmosphere vibrant, rather than monotonous or barren.
In the family room, custom-made bookcases cover the walls from floor to ceiling, where books and decorative objects are displayed with colorful glass chandeliers to create a sense of family joy and romance.
