A modern and comfortable villa project in Sydney, Australia, by local architecture and interior design studio Chrofi. The design responds to a steep, one-way site overlooking Sydney's Pittwater to the west. A large sunken courtyard is cut into the cliff at the rear of the house, providing contemplative and tranquil views from the adjoining space, juxtaposing with the expansive and sometimes extreme main side of the site.
Transparency within the core of Church Point House provides an interconnectivity between contrasting edges, allowing the owners of the home to experience an ever-changing quality of light and atmosphere, with a strong connection to the landscape.
