In the heart of Tribeca, architect and interior designer Crina Arghirescu Rogard faced a unique challenge: creating a color-infused haven for a client with almost color blindness. Drawing on her diverse background—from Bucharest to Milan, Paris to New York—Crina embarked on a mission to reimagine a three-bedroom apartment on the 21st floor of a glass-clad building. Known for her pared-down yet luxurious style, Crina crafted a space where minimalist architecture seamlessly merges with whimsical accents, resulting in unexpected and captivating compositions.
From the moment one steps into the apartment, Crina's meticulous attention to detail is apparent. Semi-circular stainless steel islands, designed in collaboration with artist Henry Timi, define the kitchen area, while adjacent burnt wood elements add warmth to the dining space. Barcelona-based artist Guillermo Santoma's lighting fixtures, with their geometric shapes and vibrant hues, infuse the space with a sense of playfulness and charm, blurring the lines between past and present.
Throughout the apartment, Crina's design ethos shines through in every corner. From reclaimed wood floors to bespoke furnishings and custom-designed pieces, each element tells a story of thoughtful curation and artistic vision. In the master suite, bold shades of electric blue reign supreme, reflecting the client's preference for vivid colors that resonate with his unique perception. With a keen eye for history and a passion for contemporary talent, Crina creates spaces that are as timeless as they are daring, inviting guests to immerse themselves in a world where beauty knows no bounds.
