In the leafy suburb of Antwerp, Belgium, a barn-like home has been designed by Belgian architect Dennis T'Jampens. Housing project D, located on the edge of Belgium's 'Diamond City', consists of an extension and renovation of an existing Belgian farmhouse. Designed for a couple and two young children, Dennis T 'Jampens prioritizes unity and connection, making each space happen simultaneously.

Dennis wants a master bedroom and suite that suits him while vacationing in another country; A place to relax and disconnect from reality. A true Belgian farmhouse, its bedrooms feature a gabled roof with exposed oak beams that add warmth and depth to the space. An open ceiling extends into the ensuite, reinforced by a series of pocket-sized skylights.

The material palette for the master bedroom is subtle and serene, with variations of oak, limestone, concrete and marble producing a soothing "holiday-style" setting. The ensuite showcases white marble with silver and rose stripes, contrasting with matte black surfaces. The spacious shower adds an element of luxury and indulgence, something Dennis is looking for when vacationing in another country.

Natural light, space and lines are essential in every project Dennis designs. The kitchen and communal Spaces of residential project D evoke the same feeling as the master bedroom and ensuite; It's a feeling of escape. The same organic, timeless materials are brought into these Spaces to ensure the cohesion of the home and the intent of each stroke.

Dennis noted that landscape and interior design can also complement each other. In this typical location, the land of the house is solid and covered with trees. At the back of the site, Dennis built a concrete "flyover" that runs through the garden to the front entrance. Dennis is always very proud and happy when his vision comes to life at the end of a project, not only for himself but also for his clients. Residential Project D is undoubtedly the product of this dedication and passion for design, with every element carefully considered and then executed.
