Australian photographer Shannon McGrath invited local interior designer Hecker Guthrie to design her Melbourne home. Over a period of more than 15 years, she has photographed some of the most striking architectural homes in Australia and around the world, so it's no wonder photographer Shannon McGrath's own home is so distinctive. Shannon McGrath's home was originally her father's old machine shop, a multi-generational home.

Shannon's home, located in the heart of wooded East Melbourne, offers a glimpse into the building's history through its extensive collection of iconic furniture and local art. As part of my Space series, Shannon and her family have been able to enjoy the environment of East Melbourne, her love of natural materials, and how her home has become a constant source of inspiration.
