This work is a 78-square-meter two-bedroom apartment in Chaoyang, Beijing. The owners of the house are a young post-95s couple. Newly married, the house embodies their aspirations for a beautiful future life. The owner hopes to create a living space that is both free and orderly, allowing to feel the harmonious coexistence of nature and art.

With a unique design concept and the actual needs of the owner, Hertz Design Consultants strives to present a balance between nature and human culture in the space, and create a life space that is both free and orderly, so that the residents can feel the harmonious symbiosis between nature and art.

The open layout optimization liberates more space while increasing depth, creating seamless circulation between living room, dining area, and kitchen. Design techniques like interlocking elements, page-turning transitions, spatial interplay, and reconfiguration not only address diverse functional needs but also enhance visual richness and layered depth.

The large area of natural light makes the space transparent and has a better light and shadow effect. Combined with soft tones and natural and simple materials, it creates a free and easy atmosphere.

The walnut wood color wall panels and page-turning style emphasize the uniqueness of the space, and are organically combined with the sofa side cabinet, giving the space a sense of life, so that the occupants can feel the natural breathing and rhythm.

Comfort is the first consideration of design. Whether it is the choice of furniture or the layout of space, it is people-oriented, striving to make the occupants feel comfortable and relaxed in every corner.
