Mexican architect Ian Pablo Amores has completed Quinta Amores, a boutique hotel in the Los Frailes neighborhood of San Miguel de Allende, a pink facade and a landscaped garden lounge in the central Mexican city, Known for its Spanish colonial architecture and cobblestone streets.

The hotel consists of five pink buildings that make up the resort, which is built on a rectangular plot of land covered with vegetation. From the street, guests can enter the reception area through a door, and a projection of the roof of the reception room provides shade and supports for hammocks. The colors of Hotel Quinta Amores were prepared specifically for it, mixed on site and chosen in relation to the colonial architecture of San Miguel de Allende. The hotel is built around spacious facilities that act as a meeting point between families, describing the courtyard as a space that conveys a sense of belonging and accompanies guests on their journey through San Miguel de Allende.

Ian Pablo Amores mentioned that in Guanajuato state, one can see red, orange, pink and other colors in almost every colonial building. He tried to relate the project to San Miguel de Allende and made about 15 color samples. In the end, he saw that this type of pink was very special with the natural light of the site.

The lodge consists of four suites, two single-storey rooms at the front of the building and two other two-storey volumes at the back that can accommodate families. Each guest room has a private exterior space separated by a stone wall from a communal garden. Smaller courtyards provide the main access to the guest rooms, some of which include a sculptural stone bathtub. The exterior surfaces of the building are all the same shade of pink, contrasting with the greenery and natural stone floors of the courtyard. The finish is a cementitious material similar to stucco. Inside, the architects used warm wooden furniture, red tile floors and simple white walls.
