The name “IF” implies an experience that can only be fully immersed in with both body and mind, where one can carefully appreciate and feel. It is difficult to express with words, and only through experience can one truly understand its unique charm.
IF MUSIC & ART Audiovisual Art Gallery (hereinafter referred to as "IF") is a collaborative creation between GORDON’S AUDIOVISUAL and JG PHOENIX Design. It combines high-end audio experiences, art exhibitions, smart home technology, and social functions into a diverse cultural space. The design focuses on the organic integration of function and aesthetics, with the space thoughtfully divided. The first floor includes an art salon, listening room, coffee area, lounge, and art gallery, while the second floor features a cinema with synchronized screenings, tea-tasting area, and cigar zone. Each corner incorporates delicate design and thoughtful consideration. This space not only presents top-tier audio equipment for music enthusiasts but also provides a platform for design and art lovers to find inspiration and engage in exchanges.
This is the starting point of a musical journey, as well as the intersection of tranquility and anticipation. As you gently step into the foyer, your eyes are immediately drawn to a large sculptural wall depicting the concept of 'fragments.' From a physical perspective, music is merely a momentary vibration of air. One may wonder, can music be regarded as a collection of fleeting fragments? Could one of these 'fragments' serve as a representation of the continuity of time and space? The "Levante Chandelier", composed of three outstretched leaves, comes from the Italian brand Luceplan. The lampshade has undergone a special surface treatment, radiating light from the root to the entire body, presenting a warm lighting effect. Even if the lights are not turned on, it is the highlight of the entire space.
With the concept of mass at its core, this serves as the pivot point connecting two levels of the space. The black, floating texture of the surface tells a story through the craftsmanship of a puzzle, while the 'carved hand' layers the thick wall, revealing small openings that subtly expose the inner structure. The interplay of light and shadow under the deep light creates an invisible tension, adding a sense of rawness.
The masterpiece "Chinese Lacquer Wall" by Tang Zhiyi, with its captivating crimson hue, jumps out in the dim space, becoming the focal point of attention. Standing here, one can slowly close their eyes and immerse themselves in the musical world created. The melodies are like gentle waves, carrying one into a sea of memories. Every note is clear, every breath in sync with the rhythm, as if one can feel the temperature of the music. It flows through the air, touching the soul. Slowly opening your eyes, you find this woven space filled with warmth. Looking up at it, it resembles a burning flame, illuminating a hidden corner deep within. In its presence, a form of communication beyond words seems to be found.
Walking into the gallery, one is greeted by large areas of red terracotta bricks, with colors inspired by the local environment, serving as an important medium for local culture. Fired at high temperatures, the bricks display unique textures, and their hues deepen as light and shadow interplay, adding a sense of tranquility and elegance to the entire space.
On the wall is a selection from the "WAKE UP" series of artworks by Su Wu, presented in the form of masks. While the masks share similar contours and features, no two are identical. The works contain unique artistic tension and imaginative space. In this moment, what kind of life atmosphere lies beneath the masks.
At the end of the wall is an interesting display. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be an ultra-thin oil painting screen art TV that fits seamlessly with the wall. In the exhibition setting, it enhances the transparency of the lighting, while when unfolded, it serves the functional purpose of a conference setting. The clever design combines aesthetics with functionality.
The stacked frosted bricks blur the boundary between inside and outside. The shadows of trees ripple across the wall, and time seems to lose its usual sense of passage, becoming slow and prolonged, bringing a profound sense of inner calm in this moment. The lighting in the space acts like a delicate painter, using bold strokes to outline deeply intertwined lines, creating a unique layered visual effect.
Stopping in the art exchange area bathed in sunlight, the "Model 78 Chair," a public domain copyright reproduction, was designed by Danish designer Niels Otto in 1962. The chair's simple lines depict the beauty of life, paying homage to the masterwork while preserving both the graceful curves and the comfortable sitting and leaning experience. Paired with this is a creation by Sun Shaochuan, the design director of "Jiahe Great Wall," made from raw bamboo materials and joined using traditional mortise and tenon craftsmanship. From practicality and comfort to artistic beauty, its simple and elegant design complements the surrounding environment.
The azure light, reminiscent of the morning lake water gently spreading on paper, creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere. "Lorewalker, The Dolphin" by Summer Hang blends the latest futuristic sci-fi language with the retro industrial metallic feel. Bold yet delicate, rigid yet graceful, these contrasting textures intertwine with the light, perfectly combining art and trend, filled with fantasy.
The static transition corridor is rendered by star lights, setting off two independent structural materials, and the space becomes vivid, and the end halo appears, like time walking silently and finding the power to move forward in peace.

The form extends from the bottom up, breaking the simple layers of space and creating a fluid and visually continuous spatial experience. The "opening" breaks the hard boundary, with the warm wood grain adding a touch of tactile warmth through its natural texture and tone. The use of light is even more subtle, enhancing the space’s three-dimensionality and depth while maintaining functionality.
From different perspectives, everyday objects inspire creativity, resulting in lighting fixtures that embody the beauty of light and shadow. The "Luna Ambient Light" on the table, from Italy's Catellani & Smith, is shaped like a seed, encased in a shell. Bathed in golden afternoon light, the radiating glow passes through serrated edges, amplifying layers of shadow and reflection, radiating romance and a spiritual artistic enjoyment.
Music, art, and design seem to converge at the intersection of time. The fading sunset, softened light, and long, distant shadows. The corridor, now nearing its end, encapsulates the charm of every element. The melody drifts through the air, while the artistic fantasy blossoms brightly. The meticulously crafted designs continue to spread, each detail here filled with a story. Every ray of light and shadow carries emotion, and the tranquil atmosphere melds visual, auditory, and sensory art with life, offering a delightful encounter with one's innermost self in this moment. Cheers, my friend!
