This country house, located near the Pestovskoye reservoir in the Moscow region, stands out for its unique Italian-style architecture. The structure boasts large arched windows, creating a distinctive visual appeal. Notably, the interior design eliminated walls, creating an open and spacious atmosphere, with only the second-floor ceiling and select load-bearing structures.
The clients, a young couple with two small children, envisioned a specific interior during the initial meeting. Despite their initial preferences, the final project took a different direction. Over the course of a year and a half, there was a shift in the design, with the clients eventually embracing a Mediterranean style infused with modern furniture and vintage elements. The main idea was to craft a living space harmonizing with nature, offering a serene retreat from urban chaos.
The color palette revolves around natural shades, predominantly white, fostering a sense of spaciousness and lightness. Unique design elements include a radius staircase and rooms with rounded walls, creating a distinctive shell-like layout. The interior relies on natural textures, monochrome hues, and a combination of styles, such as blending rough plaster with modern furniture. Noteworthy technological solutions include custom-designed furniture, handmade decorative elements by local craftsmen, and the incorporation of natural materials throughout the house.
The project's standout success is the radius staircase, initially met with resistance but eventually embraced by the clients. The staircase became a focal point, adorned with handmade sconces and contributing to the overall aesthetic. The designer's commitment to unconventional combinations of elements and materials, along with an inspired forest exploration, led to the creation of unique decor elements, such as bedside tables and wall decorations, enriching the overall project.
