Casa Molusco Pantera is a reflection of Kenya Rodríguez's deeply introspective design philosophy, where interiors are shaped not only by aesthetics but by a profound understanding of the inner self. For Rodríguez, design is an intimate process that transforms spaces into living expressions of personal reflection and emotional resonance. This approach materializes vividly in Casa Molusco Pantera, a collaborative masterpiece created alongside architect Javier Dueñas from JDE Estudio. Located in Zapopan, Jalisco, this residence bridges Mexican architectural tradition and Japanese minimalism, merging warm, earthy textures with serene, clean lines.
Rooted in the architectural heritage of Jalisco's small towns, Casa Molusco Pantera evokes the region's characteristic woodwork, inviting courtyards, and rich materiality. However, Rodríguez sought to expand this vernacular language by introducing elements inspired by Japanese architecture, particularly Kyoto's minimalist aesthetic and its deep connection to nature.
The result is a space that balances rustic warmth with contemporary simplicity, where light, shadow, and material interplay seamlessly to create an atmosphere of calm and contemplation.
