This striking Toronto home by Kim Lambert Design exemplifies how to create something original while respecting architecture in a transitional setting.
Before the transformation, this circa-1910 Georgian didn’t quite feel like home. “It just wasn’t us,” says homeowner Lucia Liscio A renovation done by the previous owners left Lucia and her husband, Trond Lossius, and their two children, Anders and Mia, with the sense that their personal stamp was missing. The family wanted a home that captured their contemporary style and their vibrant, outgoing personalities.
The project put customer total concept to the test by integrating custom pieces from floors covered in The Rug Company, to walls and ceilings featuring art and lighting, and iconic furniture pieces in between. While contemporary may be an apt descriptor of the they point of view, it’s never cold or minimal.
