The new women's health screening in Kyoto is mainly the design of the common part of the clinic. For women who want regular check-ups, Koyori wants to create a comfortable space like a hotel.
The lobby waiting area is where you spend the waiting time at the reception desk when you first come to the hospital. Randomly placed sofas, dotted with artwork and displays blur the facade of the space, which is no longer a "waiting place" but a comfortable space like a lounge in an art museum.
The interior is decorated with hand-made paper, polished floors, earthen walls, copper panels, and plain burning tiles, each of which has been around since the beginning of time and is made by human hands to feel the warmth.
By constructing the space with materials that enrich the expression without fading over time, the boundaries of the functions in each space are gently blurred. As a result, even if the visitors came alone, it would be a place where he could spend his time calmly, and he thought that he would be able to take the exami nation with a calm feeling.
