Knudsen grew up in the countryside near the forest and the sea and has always felt a strong connection with nature. She always spends a lot of time in nature, where she finds peace and balance. After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the same motivation made her start a clay journey.

Knudsen is inspired by architecture, art and fashion. She incorporates French elegance, classic Italian and Scandinavian nature into her works, which gives Knudsen unlimited possibilities to deal with surface textures, structures and shadows. She is good at combining the contrast between soft organic shapes and hard materials, in its porous and strong form that appears both masculine and feminine.

Knudsen’s work maintains the original characteristics of nature. The stoneware will naturally burn into warm cream, sand and brown colors. Only coarse fire sand is added to form a textured surface. This method also forms a unique piece of work. Profound beauty!
