© 粤ICP备19077098号Set against the city skyline of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Mafema Apartments is an oasis within easy reach of the bustling commercial and financial center. Meireles Pavan Arquitetura uses the themes of "tranquility" and "healing" to create a harmonious residence that combines architecture, furniture and art, where the interweaving of light, material and texture can be felt as a private refuge from the noise.
In the living room, the Marenco sofa, the Lina armchair by Gianfranco Frattini, the Maria Sem Vergonha side table by Etel Carmona, and the Blast coffee table by Ronald Sasson are designed to encourage and enhance interaction between users. It is no longer just a daily living place, but also an art exhibition space, decorated with sculptures created by Brazilian artists Osvaldo Gaia and Luiz Hermano, so that art can be integrated into life.
The living room facade has niches that can be used to house a stone-brick fireplace, adding a warm visual focus to the interior. The wood veneer at the height of the fireplace continues from the living room to the entrance, evolving into a guiding line through a delicate material form. A thermostatic wine cellar is hidden behind an invisible door to pursue efficiency and practicality in a minimalist way.
The kitchen is connected to the living room by sliding doors that can be fully tucked into the wall, giving the space the flexibility to switch freely. The dining room features an Amorfa table from Micasa Brasil with Nena dining chairs designed by Lanzavecchia+Wai for Zanotta. Custom cabinets are designed with seamless minimality, a hidden refrigerator and built-in kitchen appliances maintain visual unity, and a central island with induction hobs, range hoods and ovens creates a functional and beautiful dining experience.
The home theater is located at the other end of the living room, and the wood-framed rattan cabinet door not only has ventilation, but also allows the sound system to spread naturally. The side wall has a built-in bench, and the wall is made of natural leather and rattan finish, giving the space a more three-dimensional touch. The entire area is designed with embedded indirect lighting and intelligent control systems to create a soft and layered light environment.
The master bedroom has a warm sandy tone, from the textural paint on the walls to the soft fabric of the bedding, everything reveals calm and stability. The headboard background wall runs through the facade in the form of a light wood veneer and forms a niche on one side that can be used as a nightstand. An art painting by Paulo Whitaker embellishes it, adding a bit of artistic precipitation to the space.
The second bedroom has a similar design language to the master bedroom, and the headboard marble veneer extends to the facade to create a slender shelving for artwork. The beds, designed by Meireles Pavan Arquitetura, respond to the warm ambiance of the building in neutral tones, complemented by Sino wall lamps by Estudio Orth, which inject a sense of warm light into the space. In order to meet the needs of personal study and work, as well as make full use of natural light, the desk is designed in the window. Desk drawers are embedded in the wall to maintain the overall flow, while the facade continues the natural stone finish, making the space more visually unified.
Marble spreads from the floor to the wall, the countertop and even the ceiling, creating a sculptural sense of the whole bathroom. The invisible door seamlessly connects with the wall, and is only embellished with a custom circular metal handle to highlight the extreme detail consideration. The bathroom uses the same stone as the base of the bedroom, creating a visual continuity between the two areas.
