Dwell In Poeticness
If you are attached to yourself, your will will be gradually eliminated, and if you are not attached to yourself, your spirit will become abundant.
The owners are teachers and couples who have returned from studying in Europe. Their only expectation for a way of life is a poetic dwelling. The special apartment type has an original floor height of over 4m. The micro-arched window structure opens up the styling cues of this private house project. Muka Architects reorganized the relationship between the line and surface and the space construction itself, evaded the original constraints, and reconstructed a rational construction logic.
First of all, through the transformation of the structural column and the top surface, the designer hide the equipment, pipelines, beams, wall stacks, etc., which also weakens the boring feeling of the original narrow and long space. Secondly, they increase the visual hierarchy and interactivity of the public area by reducing the usable floor height and setting up a mezzanine. Again, we use the warm teak wood and the rough millstone to set off the sense of remembrance of the space and the quietness of time.
In the design, Muka Architects make good use of the structural relationship of the original space as much as possible, dissolve the traditional relationship between living, dining, kitchen and bedroom, and fully respect the owner's demands for "simple lifestyle" and "free spiritual world".
Muka Architects believe that the style of the space does not need to be specified. Modernism advocates freedom and asymmetry, while minimalism emphasizes extreme subtraction. The "poor material, rich spirit" emphasized by wabisabi can be used to explain the core of the presentation of space. They prefer to emphasize the absolute simplicity and even roughness of the materials in the space, as well as the restrained and peaceful expression of emotions in the space.
If you are attached to yourself, your will will be gradually eliminated, and if you are not attached to yourself, your spirit will become abundant. The living environment we pursue should be the unity of things and me. The best state of being independent and coexisting with each other. Rationally sort out the spatial order, and then give romantic poetry. Whether it is followed or reconstructed, it all stems from our original respect for the essence of life and people.
