Nilufar Gallery

ART Furniture Milan 2024-06-06

Founded in 1979 by Nina Yashar, Nilufar is today one of the most influential names in the world of design. It is a hub of contemporary and historic design, serving as an important reference for collectors, institutions and design enthusiasts.

Nilufar has always been committed to celebrating the intersection of art and design, bridging the gap between past and present, tradition and innovation.  The style of the gallery is the natural result of this vision characterized by a harmonious blend of vintage treasures and contemporary masterpieces, curated with a keen eye for craftsmanship, aesthetics, and cultural significance. As a founder of Nilufar, Nina strive to create immersive experiences that evoke emotion, spark dialogue, and transcend temporal boundaries, inviting viewers to embark on a journey of discovery and exploration.

The theme of the Nilufar Viale Lancetti 2024 during Milan Design Week is "Time Traveler". Nina wanted to explore the intricate journey of design through time reflecting the interconnectedness of past, present, and future in the world of design.  The theme, "Time Traveler”, invites viewers to embark on a journey through time, exploring the rich tapestry of design history and its enduring influence on contemporary aesthetics.

Through immersive installations, curated exhibitions, and interactive experiences, we aim to celebrate the timeless allure of design while also showcasing the innovative ideas and creative visions that will shape the future of design.  So, not just a reflection on the past, but a celebration of the enduring power of design to transcend temporal boundaries and inspire generations to come.
