After their two daughters moved out, this long-time couple decided it was the right moment to rethink their home. The goal: to create a space that felt open, warm, and comfortable for two, adapted to their daily rhythms and shared lifestyle.“We wanted a home that felt spacious, yet intimate—a place for us to live comfortably, without the need for separate rooms or a traditional office,” explains the couple.

Their shared love for the color red became a thread throughout the design, introduced in carefully measured doses. “Red is a color we both love, so we made sure to incorporate it in just the right places: in the custom-made dining table and the interior of the walk-in closet, which is designed like a little surprise,” the clients explain.

The project carefully balances open spaces with clear distinctions between areas, ensuring that each zone retains a sense of individuality while maintaining flow and harmony. The living area, for example, opens up with a seamless connection between the living room, dining area, and kitchen.“We wanted the space to feel open and airy. By removing any unnecessary walls, we were able to bring in more natural light and create a sense of freedom,” explains the team at Nost.

As part of that vision, “We designed a continuous piece of furniture that runs through these spaces, subtly defining the transition between the social areas and the more private zones.”

The night zone, on the other hand, reflects a sense of intimacy and warmth. The custom-designed headboard adds a personal touch, offering not only comfort and style but also functional details like built-in lighting and discreet power outlets.

The headboard is key to the entire experience. It was designed to enhance the room’s atmosphere, offering a sense of coziness and warmth, say the team at Nost.

Both the kitchen and many standalone furniture pieces were made to measure by a skilled local cabinetmaker, giving the project an added sense of uniqueness and craftsmanship. The result is a home that feels like a true reflection of the couple’s life together—functional, warm, and aesthetically unique.

“It’s not just about how the space looks, but how it makes us feel. Every corner was thought through to make sure it fits our lifestyle and brings us joy every day,” the clients express their satisfaction.
