OOAA Arquitectura completes minimalist house OOAA Arquitectura has completed a minimalist house in Rome, Italy. The studio used warm colors and minimalism as the cornerstone of its design, but they created a space with a high quality. In their practice, the vision of the space, the choice of decor, and the choice or design of furniture, are the basic elements of the project.

The building has rounded corners, so OOAA plan to follow the same language inside. They created some wooden volumes with curved edges where set the private uses, leaving the social area for the vacuums. This way, the social area is free and dynamic, and the space is clear, separating private and social areas.

Leon is a cold city, so OOAA planned to use wood both for the flooring and the mentioned volumes. However, to enhance the curved volumes, they used two different finishes for the wood: whitish finish for the flooring that mimics the façade walls and ceilings, and smoky finish for the volumes.The curved lines make a comfortable experience where edges disappear.
