Danish interior company Garde Hvalsøe and Portuguese furniture design brand De La Espada will stage a joint exhibition, ‘Crafted to Last,’ as part of this year’s 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen. Curated by interior stylist Pernille Vest, the exhibition celebrates the two brands’ shared ethos for preserving traditional craftsmanship and using natural materials in contemporary design. The exhibition, which opens on June 12 at the Garde Hvalsøe showroom, designed in 2023 by Bunn Studio, encourages visitors to slow down and engage their senses while experiencing products from both brands’ collections.

‘Crafted to Last’ is a thought-provoking showcase highlighting the profound connection between high-quality materials, artistry, and the human touch. Both Garde Hvalsøe and De La Espada call upon the craft traditions of woodworking, and the exhibition features a curated selection of furniture, custom interior solutions, bespoke kitchens, and small art objects, all of which showcase the brand’s exceptionally crafted approach to its products.
