Perspective Studio

Kaptensgatan House

Houses Interiors Sweden 2020-04-17

Interior designer Robin Klang, owner of the Perspective studio, designed this beautiful apartment on Kaptensgatan II in Central Stockholm, combining the Scandinavian heritage with influences from the East.

Everything started in the living room where the Perspective Studio wanted to create a dark and light feel full of contrasts, a sense of simplicity with warmth. The studio wanted all the rooms to effortlessly work together and to transition the color scheme in a natural way throughout the apartment.

The parable is a bit drastic, the colors are rather like a make-up palette, a fine-tuned balance of different powders, but also the colors in a landscape with fog over fields, a dreamy sandy beach, a morning sky. It is lime colors that are painted by hand to surfaces that change in texture. The surface layer is important to Robin because his interior is so spartan. Coarse linen fabrics, sofa covers in hemp, fine tactile materials on furniture and objects, from matt to glossy, that makes it all interesting.
