The perfumery occupies the ground floor of a 19th century building, made up of thick tuff walls and barrel vaults, with a precious Calacatta marble floor.
Primo Atelier’s design concept involves the valorisation of the pre-existing architectural structure and the insertion of display cases placed inside the rooms which are configured as fixed furnishings arranged along the walls. The two boxes recall the wooden and leaded glass cases of classic apothecaries and pharmacies but their contemporary declination brings them back to life in a new shape and new materials.
The furnishings of the first room are made up of modules with frames and shelves in burnished steel while the bottoms are in backlit satin glass. Some modules are exceptional elements where we find furniture in makassar ebony, tops in travertine and bottoms in dove-grey leather.
The steel furniture develops along the four walls without interruption, where the openings and views towards the outside are equally characterized by steel frames. In the center of the first room there is a burnished metal piece of furniture, made up of a metal cage that wraps around shelves and revolving ebony dividers.
The second room becomes more exclusive with lacquered wood furnishings and orange leather backgrounds. Here we also find a travertine sink set into the furniture. In the center of the room is a large custom-made pouf with antique-toned upholstery.
The existing structure, visible above the furniture, was treated with an earth-colored lime plaster and embellished with multi-body punctual suspension lighting with variable heights.
