During Milan Design Week 2024, a one-of-a-kind fusion of creativity and design unfolded within the spaces of Alimonti Milano at Corso Venezia, 53. Alimonti Milano showcased two distinct projects in partnership with Giuliano Andrea from dell’Uva Architetti and Studiopepe. This remarkable shared event, dubbed 'Dialogues,' delivered an unforgettable experience for art and architecture aficionados.
Born from the collaboration between Studio Giuliano Andrea dell’Uva Architetti and Alimonti Milano, the project "INCASTRI EDITION" narrates the encounter between craftsmanship and creative vision, aiming to build a balance between forms, materials, and colors. At the core of this project lies the idea of providing a unique yet customizable element, by adding complementary elements and thus creating a series of dynamic compositions. Each piece of the "INCASTRI EDITION" is the result of meticulous attention to detail and artisanal mastery. Carefully selected natural stones are shaped by skilled craftsmen, giving life to sculptural furnishings.
This collection represents a bridge between tradition and innovation, where the richness of natural materials merges with the flexibility of contemporary design. Every stone element becomes a tangible testament to the creative vision of the Studio Giuliano Andrea dell'Uva Architetti and its dedication to the design of bespoke furnishings. With "INCASTRI EDITION," design becomes an interactive experience that allows the user, through their own sensibility, to engage with the furnishing element in an exclusive manner, through the choice of materials and colors that characterize the joints.
The Solid Landscape Collection vol. II, designed by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto of Studiopepe, represents the natural evolution of the previously initiated project in collaboration with Alimonti Milano, celebrating the fusion of marble and stone through exceptional artisanal craftsmanship. The furnishings in this year's collection combine artisanal techniques, such as the unique chiseling on Limestone, and pastel-toned Onyx worked with satin and rounded finishes, exploring a hidden softness within the material.
Organic forms, chromatic shades, and transparencies interact with graphic marks that characterize the cylindrical legs, reminiscent of ancient columns supporting precious elements. The collection includes a limited series of wall pieces made from Limestone, echoing the aesthetics of the bas-reliefs on the travertine walls of the showroom. These pieces, with a strong sculptural presence, seem to immortalize subtle interventions on an almost malleable material, contrasting with the hardness of the stone.
